Have you ever had a chili dog and the bun splits wide open and out goes the insides. What I do is by bakery buns (not sliced) which I cut a shape out on top of the bun same size as a hot dog maybe just a little bigger. I can tell you this that all of what you put on stays in the bun. I do stack my chili dogs in a different manner, 1st the chili..2nd the cheese, 3rd the onions.....4th the hot dog. That way there's no chili spilling all over the place. Try it ...you'll like it!!
